| Skinfit athlete, Brian Lavelle, qualified for Kona at Ironman Canada last weekend! He went 8:59 with a 48:38 min swim, 4:45:46 bike and 3:20:48 run. Congratulations Brian! We are looking forward to seeing you rock the white skinfit kit in Kona. Brian wore the 5512 bike shorts, 5504 white tri pants, and the 6011 white aero top. |

| Yvonne van Vlerken on the podium The past few weeks of racing have been dominated by solid performances from Skinfit athletes around the world. At Escape from Alcatraz, Skinfit athlete Victor Plata used a speedy run to crack the top 5 and stand on the pro podium...congrats Victor! Also racing well at Alcatraz was the Stanford Triathlon Team, Team Ascent, and our very own Skinfit Racing Team. On the local front, many of our age-group athletes represented Skinfit at the Silicon Valley Olympic Distance Triathlon. Brian Lavelle was rocking the new white Aero armprotectors, 5504 trishorts, and 5072 Tri Zip Top in the time trial and the new Plasma suit in the swim-run portion of the Pro Challenge. At Ironman Japan, Nicole Klingler crossed the line in 9:52:52 to take her first victory, as well as the first Ironman victory for an athlete from the country of Liechtenstein. Yvonne van Vlerken placed 2nd at Ironman Germany (European Championships). Congratulations to all of our amateur and Elite athletes and thank you for being part of the Skinfit family. |

| places Top 10 at Collegiate Nationalsِ The Stanford University Triathlon Team was in Lubbock, TX racing 2009 collegiate nationals. The team placed 9th in the nation. Incredibly, five out of eight athletes that scored in the team competition are in their first triathlon season, which shows a lot of promise for the future. Plus, they all had fun and sported the Skinfit Aero II shirts all weekend from the event, to awards, to the post race BBQ! |

16.02.2009 | Skinfit athlete Yvonne Van Vlerken ... | |
| ... just took second place at the Geelong 70.3 race in Australia! She stormed onto the Ironman scene last year, recording the fastest ever female Ironman time (8:45:48!)at Roth and placing 2nd at Kona in her first attempt! Skinfit USA would like to congratulate Yvonne on her early success and we look forward to seeing her on the podium again in Kona. Yvonne donated her price money from the race to the "Red Cross Bush-Fire Appeal" in order to help combat the current devastating wildfires in Australia. A nice gesture, thanks Yvonne! |

11.11.2008 | Victor Plata wins ITU Pan American Cup | |
| in San Francisco The 35-year-old Plata - who won at the Pacific Grove Triathlon just a few weeks ago - used a strong run to pull away from Olympian Matt Reed and win in 1:54:29. Joe Umphenour was second in 1:54:47, with Brian Fleischmann in third in 1:55:03. "I think this is the biggest win in my career," said an emotional Plata, who pumped both arms in the air after breaking through the finish tape. "I'm so blessed today, so lucky. I've had a pretty tough go of it. It was a great way to finish the season. I came in dead last at the Olympic Trials. It was rough. I took a couple months off then really resurrected my season at Pacific Grove." Victor wore a blue and white Skinfit Speedsuit II on his way to his great win. Here is what Victor says about the Skinfit Speedsuit II: "A triathlon racing uniform has to reduce drag in the swim, feel comfortable on the bike, and keep me cool on the run. The Skinfit Tri Speedsuit meets all of my racing requirements, and looks great too! 28.10.2008 | Yvonne van Vlerken finishes 2nd in Kona! Ā | |
| Skinfit athlete Yvonne van Vlerken finished 2nd at the Ironman World Championships in Hawaii. The entire Skinfit USA team would like to congratulate Yvonne on this outstanding achievement. Yvonne prepared herself for the race in our backyard at Lake Tahoe (CA) and it looks like all the hard work at altitude paid off. Yvonne: /The 2nd place finish in this world-class field was a lot of hard work. It is definitely the most important result of my career. My Ironman worldrecord earlier this year was a step in the right direction, but you cannot call yourself a complete longdistance triathlete until you have proven yourself in Kona!/ |

| wins Pacific Grove Triathlon Skinfit USA athlete and 2004 Olympian Victor Plata has won the Triathlon at Pacific Grove for the second year in a row. With his win at Pacific Grove, Victor has taken over the lead in the Tricalifornia Pro Series. We wish Vic all the best for his race at Nationals this weekend. In the same race at Pacific Grove, skinfit athlete Reto Waeffler finished 14th in his first pro race after a longer injury break. In addition, many young athletes from Monterey Bay Multisport (MBM Racing) came out on top in their age divisions. Skinfit blue was definitely the most prominent color on the race course as well as on the podium! Most of our athletes were competing in the super fast Skinfit Speedsuit II. Here is what Victor has to say about his Speedsuit: "A triathlon racing uniform has to reduce drag in the swim, feel comfortable on the bike, and keep me cool on the run.
